In accordance with 40 CFR Part 122.32 and Ohio law, urban counties and townships were required to prepare and submit Storm Water Management Plans to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA). The Plan was required to address the minimum control standards necessary to accomplish the objectives of the Clean Water Act. LACRPC worked with affected local government entities including Allen County as well as American, Bath, Perry, and Shawnee townships to prepare the plan. While the LACRPC facilitated the planning process, it was the collaborative knowledge provided by the Ottawa River Coalition, the Allen County Health Department, the Allen Soil and Water Conservation District and the Allen County Engineer that allowed the political subdivisions to satisfactorily address the technical demands of the OEPA.
