The Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission is a designated census affiliate of the Office of Policy Research and Strategic Planning, which acts as the state government liaison to the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. As an affiliate, the Commission receives demographic, economic, and social data for West Central Ohio, emphasizing County cities, villages, and townships.

Detailed data is available from the 2020, 2010, 2000, and 1990 decennial Census of Population and Housing, ongoing American Community Survey, Economic Census (every five years), and the Population Estimates Program.
